Mini-Troupe4: Dance & Competition for Young Performers
Mini-Troupe offers an exciting opportunity for our 5-8 year-old students eager to gain more dance experience and participate in competitions! This program includes an additional hour of instruction each week, focusing on advanced technical skills in jazz while preparing a competition dance.
Students will compete at local competitions—typically within Charleston, WV—and perform in community events. They will also have the chance to join the Dance Company for the Production performance at the end-of-year recital! We love watching our “Mini-Troupers” develop new skills, build confidence, and forge lasting friendships with their teammates throughout the season!

- 5:45-6:45, Fridays – Mini Troupe Dance Company Practice
Requirements
- Show up and be ready to have fun!
- Students must be registered in one other class.
- Participation in our end of the year performance, production, local competitions, and community performances.
- Kindness and respect at all times in the studio.
- A desire to learn and grow!
Recreational Program Goals
- To introduce beginning/intermediate skills through various forms.
- To gain confidence and insight into one’s own identity as a performer.
- Encourage growth beyond performing by instilling confidence, kindness, and determination in each individual student.
