Elite Performance Academy has been proudly training the dancers of the Tri-State area and beyond for the past 18 years! We offer classes in Jazz, Acro-Tumble, Lyrical/Contemporary, Ballet, Hip-Hop, Modern, Tap, Musical Theatre, Creative Movement, and Combination. All of our classes are open to both boys and girls, ages three through adult. Our instructors are well-trained and experienced to assure the absolute best training for your dancer! (Check out the members of our team on our staff page!) Our students become family. We love watching them grow and seeing them build lifelong friendships here at the studio.
We teach our students not only a love for performance and dance, but a love for becoming role models in their community through their motivation, positive attitudes, perseverance, responsibility, and desire to be the best version of themselves they can be. We build our strong studio atmosphere through activities such as holiday parties at the studio, celebrating birthdays, and our mentoring program (matching young members of our company with older members as mentors). We also invite our students to be class assistants for younger classes.
Elite is proudly a member of the Dance Studio Owners Association, where staff receive regular trainings. We have been voted the Best Dance Studio in the Tri-State and have been recognized both regionally and nationally! Our dancers have performed across the East coast and even for the Royal Caribbean Cruise Line. At competition, our students have been awarded for their sportsmanship, their teamwork, and their positive attitudes. We could not be more proud of them for this!
Elite is located at 819 10th Avenue in Huntington, West Virginia. We love being so close to the YMCA, Ritter Park, and Grindstone coffee! Our facility features three separate studio spaces, as well as a dressing room for our dancers.
Come see us! We would love to have you join our dance family!
The benefits of dance are limitless.
- Self Confidence: The opportunity to perform on stage in front of an audience boosts the self-confidence of the child and develops in them a sense of self-awareness and accomplishment that can never be taken away.
- Physical Coordination: The demands of learning to physically move hands, arms, legs, etc., in coordination is wonderfully challenging. Learning to synchronize these movements with a number of other students builds an amazing sense of comradeship and pride not just in oneself, but in one’s classmates.
- Musicality: A basic understanding of the moods and rhythms of music are developed in learning to dance. This understanding of one of man’s oldest artistic pursuits enables the student to better appreciate the world in which we live, and can lead to the development of a much healthier outlook on life.
- Health: A student’s physical and mental fitness is enhanced by the regular exercise and love of movement with dance gives them. Whether it can be classical moves in ballet, the more contemporary steps of jazz and hip hop of the strenuous activities of acrobatic classes, dance builds a strength of body and character which will be with the student forever.
