Hip-hop developed from several cultures including jazz, rock, tap, and American and Latino cultures. Hip-hop is a very energetic form of dancing. It is unique in that it allows its dancers to perform with freedom of movement, adding in their own personalities.
This 45 minute class is the 3 and 4 year old child’s introduction to the imaginative and creative world of performing on stage. The students explore fundamental dance techniques (ballet & jazz) along with introductory acro-tumble training. The instruction utilizes songs, rhythms, tumbling and imaginary play.
This class is the 5 year old child’s opportunity to continue their learning about the imaginative and creative world of performing on stage. The students explore five separate disciplines including ballet, acro-tumble, jazz, tap and baton twirling.
A classical form of theatrical dance having its own technique, movements, traditions, and vocabulary. Ballet fuses dancing, symphonic music, theatrical scenery, costumes and lighting. After students receive necessary ballet technique, they begin pointe training.
Instruction includes acrobatic training, such as, cartwheels, walkovers, limbers, splits etc…and variations using the many acrobatic stunts. Tumble training includes learning stunts, such as, back hand-springs, side and front aerials, back tucks etc…for dance and cheerleading activities.
