Vocal

Vocal performing class for ages 6 and up.

Twirling – Field Corps

Instruction of proper baton, hoop, flag, ribbon etc…twirling and field corps technique.

Tap

A dance in which the rhythmic patterns are sounded out by the clicking taps on the heels and toes of dancers shoes. Available for students 5 years through adult.

Musical Theatre

A combination of singing, acting and dancing. This class is great for triple threat performers.

Lyrical – Contemporary

A contemporary, stylized form of dance that demonstrates extension and balance, as well as communicating, to the audience, a clear interpretation of the music.

Jumps, Leaps, & Turns

This class is only open to levels 5, 6, and 7. This is a technique class that focuses on breaking down and perfecting a spectrum of jumps, leaps, and turns.

Jazz

Various dance movements characterized by the use of isolations, turns, leaps, jumps, etc… influenced by rhythms and techniques of jazz music.

Hip-Hop

Hip-hop developed from several cultures including jazz, rock, tap, and American and Latino cultures. Hip-hop is a very energetic form of dancing. It is unique in that it allows its dancers to perform with freedom of movement, adding in their own personalities.

Creative Movement (3 & 4 year olds)

This 45 minute class is the 3 and 4 year old child’s introduction to the imaginative and creative world of performing on stage. The students explore fundamental dance techniques (ballet & jazz) along with introductory acro-tumble training. The instruction utilizes songs, rhythms, tumbling and imaginary play.

Combination (5 year olds)

This class is the 5 year old child’s opportunity to continue their learning about the imaginative and creative world of performing on stage. The students explore five separate disciplines including ballet, acro-tumble, jazz, tap and baton twirling.

Ballet and Pointe

A classical form of theatrical dance having its own technique, movements, traditions, and vocabulary. Ballet fuses dancing, symphonic music, theatrical scenery, costumes and lighting. After students receive necessary ballet technique, they begin pointe training.

Acro – Tumble

Instruction includes acrobatic training, such as, cartwheels, walkovers, limbers, splits etc…and variations using the many acrobatic stunts. Tumble training includes learning stunts, such as, back hand-springs, side and front aerials, back tucks etc…for dance and cheerleading activities.
